| September 2008 Don has got it! He ran into a SR500 in parts that someone kept in his garage for about 15 years. No licence plate, a lot of old and gone stuff, some things missing. But not too expensive and the engine did not have a high mileage. We thought. Don really likes this one-cilinder thing, learned to love it when he borrowed Willem's ride for a while. So here the saga begins, a great bunch of parts, many ideas and a lot of time to be spend on it. As one thing is sure, these bikes are built for former times, they are not really that quick but can be tuned quite easy. So there we go! The idea is to make it a kind of scrambler as nowadays too many old bikes are turned into the cafe-racer style. So we are looking for some kind of direction like this one:
