Kawasaki ZXR special
| Friday November 2, 2007 I purchased
a 1991 Kawasaki ZZR600 engine. From a guy that didn't need it anymore since
the rest of the bike was totalled. He bought another and no longer needed
it. It was in his basement for a few years, but was shortly before the crash
revised with bearings, camchains, Wiseco pistons and all. I figured I could
find something to do with this. |
Together with Juul
we made a plan. A nice little frame should do the trick to make something
special. We read and heard it could be done. Looking at different frames
from the VFR400 to GSX400 we came upon a ZXR 400 frame from 1993 for a
good price. Besides mounting a big engine in a small frame we want to give a huge update to the rest. And decided to mount the frame with only Yamaha R6 2006-2007 parts. Front fork, swing arm with suspension, wheels and the fairing! This will be a one of a kind ride. And we worked out the color scheme as well. (see right) |
